Welcome to Depoe Bay!
Known as the whale watching capital of Coastal Oregon, Depoe Bay offers numerous shore observation spots and charters that provide views of grey whales, which migrate through the area between December to May. A sea wall also runs the length of the downtown area, enabling visitors to shop or dine within view of the ocean. Although whale watching and shopping are popular activities in Depoe Bay, there are also a variety of special events that takes place throughout the year. Attend the Fleet of Flowers celebration on Memorial Day or the Indian Style Salmon Bake festival in September for a day filled with games and live entertainment. Depoe Bay also features numerous parks and beaches, including Beverly Beach State Park and Fogarty Creek Recreation Area, which extend towards Newport and Lincoln City. Afterwards, rest at a luxurious bed and breakfast, condominium or beach house that offers breath-taking views of the areas scenery.
